On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Oct. 1, USTA National Trainer Susan Allshouse conducted a Recreational Coaches Workshop at the Riverside Racquet Complex in Vero Beach. Thirty-nine participants were in attendance, including men and women from Washington DC to Atlanta and Jacksonville to Miami.
PE Teaches, community organizational staff and volunteers, tennis pros and parks and recreation staff were taught the basics of how to teach tennis to youth. USTA Florida community coordinator Janet Sprague organized the event, and she was very pleased with the great attendance and accommodating weather!
