Excellence., the philanthropic and charitable entity of the USTA, announced today that it has awarded 39 grants in its final “Aces for Kids” funding cycle for 2008, for a total of $574,700.  Among the organizations selected was First Serve of the Palm Beaches in Palm Beach, Hebni Nutrition Consultants in Orlando and the Greater Miami Tennis & Education Foundation in Miami.

Although finishing second at a tennis tournament may be reward in itself, to 13-year-old Aaron Kupin of Boca Raton, it was just icing on the cake.  Last month, Aaron competed at the Halloween Super Series hosted by the City of Delray Beach, Oct. 11-13 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center and raised $635.00 over the two-day tournament for Autism Speaks, the National Advocacy Program for Autism.
