Clinicians are defined as tennis trainers that teach other tennis enthusiasts how to teach tennis and racket skills to others. Clinicians are used primarily with the USTA Schools Tennis program in teaching PE Teachers how to work with large groups of students with limited space and equipment. Clinicians are required to complete a Clinician application form and attend at least one Recreational Coach Workshop (RCW) every 12 months to be eligible for stipends from USTA Florida. Mentors are defined as tennis trainers that assist and help recreational coaches with their tennis teaching until they become comfortable on their own. Mentors are Clinicians themselves and are there to shadow a graduate of a Recreational Coach Workshop with his/her community tennis on-court program. Mentors must also attend at least one RCW every 12 months to be eligible to receiving stipends from USTA Florida.
National Trainers are USTA chosen and trained tennis teachers that are the lead instructors for the Recreational Coach Workshops and Welcome Back To Tennis events that are held Nationally. National Trainers are required to attend a National Trainers Workshop every other year to remain active and eligible for stipends. USTA Florida currently has nine (9) National Trainers in Florida.
QuickStart Tennis Specialists are USTA selected and trained tennis teachers that are the lead instructors for the recreational QuickStart Tennis Workshops that are held Nationally.
